Couperin, François, Sieur de Crouilly
Couperin, François, Sieur de Crouilly , organist and teacher; b. Chaumes, c. 1631; d. Paris, after 1708. He was a pupil of Chambonnieres in harmony and harpsichord. He was active as a music teacher and organist. His daughter, Marguerite Louise (b. Paris, 1676; d. Versailles, May 30, 1728), was a well-known singer and harpsichordist. She was a fellow member of the Chambre du Roi with her cousin François le Grand , who wrote for her the verset Qui dat nivem and other pieces.
