Delune, Louis
Delune, Louis , Belgian composer; b. Charleroi, March 15, 1876; d. Paris, Jan. 5, 1940. He studied with Tinel at the Brussels Cons., and won the Belgian Prix de Rome with his cantata La Mort du roi Reynaud (1905); then traveled as accompanist for César Thomson. He lived for many years in Paris, and wrote most of his works there, including Symphonie chevaleresque, the Opéra Tania, a ballet, Le Fruit défendu, Piano Concerto, and violin pieces.
