Duchâble, Françcedile;ois-René
Duchâble, François-René French pianist; b. Paris, April 22, 1952. He was a pupil of Joseph Benvenutti and Madeleine Giraudeau-Basset at the Paris Cons. At age 16, he received 11th prize at the Queen Elisabeth of Belgium competition in Brussels, and in 1973 won the Prix de la Fondation Sacha Schneider, which led to his first major engagement in Paris at the Salle Gaveau. In 1980 he won critical accolades as soloist in Bartok’s 3rd Piano Concerto with Karajan and the Berlin Phil., and thereafter pursued an international career as a virtuoso.
