Dulcken, Luise (née David)
Dulcken, Luise (née David), German pianist, sister of Ferdinand David and mother of Ferdinand Quentin Dulcken; b. Hamburg, March 29, 1811; d. London, April 12, 1850. She was taught by C. F. G. Schwencke and Wilhelm Grund and played in public in Germany when she was 11 years of age. She married in 1828 and went to London, where she met with brilliant success as a pianist and teacher. Queen Victoria was one of her many pupils.
