Falabella (Correa), Roberto

Falabella (Correa), Roberto, Chilean composer; b. Santiago, Feb. 13, 1926; d. there, Dec. 15, 1958. He was paralyzed by polio as a child. He pursued his studies with Lucila Cesped (1945–6), Alfonso Letelier (1949–50), Gustavo Becerra (1952), and Miguel Aguilar and Esteban Hitler (1956–57). His music was Classical in form, Romantic in content, and modernistic in technique.
