Fiocco, Joseph-Hector
Fiocco, Joseph-Hector, Belgian organist, harpsichordist, and composer, 8th child of Pietro Antonio Fiocco (of his 2nd marriage); b. Brussels, Jan. 20, 1703; d. there, June 22, 1741. He was sous- maitre at the royal chapel from c. 1729 to 1731, and from 1731 to 1737 he was maitre de chapelle at the Antwerp Cathedral. He was master of the collegiate church of SS. Michel and Gudule in Brussels until his death. He wrote numerous sacred works, publ. in Monumenta Musicae Belgicae (vol.III). He also wrote Pieces de clavecin (2 suites of 12 pieces each).
