Friedman, Richard

Friedman, Richard, American composer; b. N.Y, Jan. 6, 1944. He received training in electronics. After working with Morton Subotnick at the Intermedia Electronic Music Studio at N.Y. Univ. (1966–68), he joined the music dept. of KPFA radio in Berkeley. His output reflected his interest in avant-garde pursuits with a special emphasis on the application of electronics.
