Greenbaum, Hyam (b Brighton, 1901; d Bedford, 1942). Eng. conductor and violinist. Member of Queen's Hall Orch. and of Brosa Qt. 1924–5. Mus. dir. to impresario C. B. Cochran for his revues, 1930–4. Cond. BBC TV Orch. 1936–9, BBC Revue Orch. 1939–42. Confidant of Lambert, Rawsthorne, and Walton (some of whose film mus. he orchestrated).
