Henderson, Alva

Henderson, Alva, American composer; b. San Luis Obispo, Calif., April 8, 1940. He studied voice and theory at San Francisco State Coll. He wrote mainly vocal works, including the operas Medea (San Diego, Nov. 29, 1972), The Tempest (n.d.), and The Last of the Mohicans (Wilmington, Del., June 12, 1976).
