Infante, Manuel
Infante, Manuel, Spanish pianist and composer; b. Osuna, near Seville, July 29, 1883; d. Paris, April 21, 1958. He studied piano and composition with Enrique Morera. In 1909 he settled in Paris, and gave concerts of Spanish music. He wrote numerous pieces for piano, mostly on Spanish themes: Gitanerias, Pochades andalouses, Sevillana, fantasy (1922), and El Vito (variations on a popular theme). He alsocomposed an opera, Almanza.
