Jacopo da Bologna (Jacobus de Bononia; Magister Jachobus de Bononia), Italian composer and music theorist who flourished in the 14th century. He was one of the earliest representatives of the Florentine Ars nova. He wrote madrigals, ballate, and other works. W. Marrocco ed. his complete works (Berkeley and Los Angeles, 1954).
