Kars, Jean-Rodolphe
Kars, Jean-Rodolphe , Austrian pianist; b. Calcutta, March 15, 1947. He studied with Jeanne Manchon-Theist and Katchen at the Paris Cons. (1958–64). He made his London recital debut in 1967, and subsequently pursued an international career as a soloist. He champions the music of Messiaen, and excels as an interpreter of Mozart, Schubert, Liszt, Debussy, and Ravel.
