Kazuro, Stanislaw

Kazuro, Stanislaw, Polish composer; b. Teklinapol, near Vilnius, Aug. 1, 1881; d. Warsaw, Nov. 30, 1961. He studied in Warsaw, Paris, and Rome. He was active mainly in Warsaw as a pedagogue and choral conductor, and he also publ. several school manuals. His compositions, in an academic style, were chiefly designed for pedagogic purposes. Among them are 2 folk operas, orch. music, choral works, and piano pieces.
