Kirigin, Ivo, Croatian conductor and composer; b. Zadar, Feb. 2, 1914; d. Zagreb, Oct. 21, 1964. He studied in Italy with Pizzetti. He was active as a theater conductor in Zagreb. Among his works were Concertino for Piano and Orch., Sym. (1950), Pjesma o zemliji, cantata (Song of the Land; 1952), Kameni horizonti (Stone Horizons; Zagreb, March 16, 1955), 5 Movements for Strings (1958), and numerous songs.
