Klafsky, Anton Maria
Klafsky, Anton Maria, Austrian musicologist and composer, nephew of Katharina (Katalin) Klafsky; b. Winden, Burgenland, July 8, 1877; d. Baden, near Vienna, Jan. 1, 1965. He studied at the Univ. of Vienna, and took lessons in composition with Hermann Gradener. He composed much church music, 3 syms., piano pieces, and songs. He ed. sacred choral works of Michael Haydn for Denkmäler der Tonkunst in Österreich, vols. 44 and 62 (22 and 32.i).
