Mašek, Vincenz

Mašek, Vincenz, Bohemian pianist and organist; b. Zwikovecz, April 5, 1755; d. Prague, Nov. 15, 1831. He was a pupil of Seeger and F.X. Dussek, and became an accomplished player of the piano and harmonica. After long tours, he settled in Prague as an organist and music dealer. His brother Paul Mašek (1761–1826) was a pianist and a teacher in Vienna.
