Medek, Tilo, German composer; b. Jena, Jan. 22, 1940. He went to Berlin and studied musicology at Humboldt Univ., attended the Deutsche Hochschule für Musik, and received training in composition from Wagner-Régeny at the Deutsche Akademie der Künste. Thereafter he devoted himself to composition.
