Mila, Massimo

Mila, Massimo, Italian writer on music; b. Turin, Aug. 14, 1910; d. there, Dec. 26, 1988. He studied literature at the Univ. of Turin, and after graduation became a regular contributor to many Italian musical publications. He was music critic of L’Espresso (1955–68) and of La Stampa (1968–74). He taught music history at the Turin Cons. (1953–73) and at the Univ. of Turin (from 1960).
