Natanson, Tadeusz
Natanson, Tadeusz, Polish composer and pedagogue; b. Warsaw, Jan. 26, 1927; d. Wroclaw, Nov. 10, 1990. He studied composition with K. Wilkomirski, P. Perkowski, and S. Poradowski at the Wroclaw Academy of Music (1952–56). He was on its faculty (from 1957), and also taught at the Warsaw Academy of Music (from 1977), where he received his Ph.D. (1977; with a diss. on music therapy as a function of music). He also taught at the Univ. of Silesia in Cieszyn (from 1983), where he served as head of the Inst. for Music Therapy (from 1984).
