Parepa-Rosa, Euphrosyne (b Edinburgh, 1836; d London, 1874). Scottish soprano. Début Malta 1855 as Amina in La sonnambula. London début at Lyceum Th. 1857 (Elvira in I Puritani). Sang at CG and Her Majesty's 1859–65 and in Handel fests. 1862 and 1865. Toured USA 1865 with Carl Rosa, whom she married 1867, when they formed Parepa-Rosa Grand English Opera Co. Had range of 2 octaves. Prin. sop. Carl Rosa Opera Co. Career in oratorio also.
