Pesenti, Martino,blind Italian harpsichordist and composer; b. Venice, c. 1600; d. there, c. 1648. He was a pupil of Giovanni Battista Grillo in Venice, where he later was in the service of various families of the nobility. He publ, in Venice 7 vols, of madrigals and canzonettas (c. 1619–48), 4 vols, of dances (c. 1619–46), 3 vols, of arias (1633–39), and a vol. of sacred music (1643).
