Pfister, Hugo
Pfister, Hugo, Swiss composer; b. Zürich, Sept. 7, 1914; d. Küsnacht, near Zürich, Oct. 31, 1969. After training as a schoolteacher, he taught music at the Küsnacht Teachers’s Seminary. In 1956–57 he studied with Boulanger in Paris. He wrote much incidental music for the stage and radio, orch. works, chamber music, and piano pieces.
