Prowo, Pierre , German organist and composer; b. Aitona, April 8, 1697; d. there, Nov. 8, 1757. He served as organist at the Aitona Reformierten Kirche from 1738. Among his works were a Concerto for Flute, 2 Violins, and Basso Continuo, 6 concertos for 3 Oboes and 2 Bassoons, 6 concertos for 2 Recorders, 2 Oboes, 2 Bassoons, and Basso Continuo, 13 sonatas for 2 Recorders and Basso Continuo, 12 sonatas for Flute and Basso Continuo, and 7 sonatas for Flute, Violin, and Basso Continuo
