Puschmann, Adam (Zacharias)
Puschmann, Adam (Zacharias) , German poet and Meistersinger; b. Görlitz, 1532; d. Breslau, April 4, 1600. He was a pupil of Hans Sachs. He brought out Gründtlicher Bericht des deutschen Meistergesanges (1571; 2nd ed., 1596; ed. by R. Jonas, Halle, 1888) and a Singebuch (1588; ed. by G. Münzer, Leipzig, 1906), which contains some 350 melodies.
