Rapf, Kurt
Rapf, Kurt , Austrian composer; b. Vienna, Feb. 15, 1922. He studied piano, organ, and composition at the Vienna Academy of Music (1936–42). He was founder-conductor of the chamber music ensemble Collegium Musicum Wien (1945–56) and city music director in Innsbruck (1953–60). He was president of the Austrian Composers’ Union (1970–83).
