Rasse, François (Adolphe Jean Jules)

Rasse, François (Adolphe Jean Jules ), Belgian violinist, conductor, teacher, and composer; b. Helchin, Jan. 27, 1873; d. Brussels, Jan. 4, 1955. He studied violin with Ysaÿe at the Brussels Cons., winning the Belgian Grand Prix de Rome in 1899. From 1925 to 1938 he was director of the Liège Cons.
