Salimbeni, Felice

Salimbeni, FeliceItalian castrato soprano; b. Milan, c. 1712; d. Ljubljana, Aug. 1751. He was a student of Porpora. Following his operatic debut in Hasse’s Caio Fabrizio (Rome, 1731), he sang widely in Italy. He also sang in Vienna, was a court singer in Berlin (1745–50), and won particular success in Hasse’s operas in Dresden.
