Thybo, Leif, Danish organist, teacher, and composer; b. Holstebro, June 12, 1922. He studied in Copenhagen at the Cons. (1940-45) and the Univ. (1945-48). He taught harmony and counterpoint at the Univ. of Copenhagen (1949-65); taught theory (from 1952) and organ (from 1960) at the Copenhagen Cons.; was also active as a church organist.
