Tosatti, Vieri
Tosatti, Vieri, Italian composer, writer, and teacher; b. Rome, Nov. 2, 1920; d. there, March 23, 1999. He was a student of Dobici, Ferdinandi, Jachino, and Petrassi at the Rome Cons. (diploma, 1942) and of Pizzetti (1942-45). He taught at the Pontificio Istituto di Musica Sacra (1966-86) and the Cons. di Santa Cecilia (1973-80) in Rome. His compositions followed along conservative lines in an eclectic style.
