Born November 14, 1956, in Kuwait; Canadian citizen; daughter of Abaskharoun (a physician) and Mary Haroun (Guirguis) Thabit Abdul-Masih. Ethnicity: "Egyptian." Education: Attended American University of Beirut, 1973-75; Bryn Mawr College, B.A., 1978; Johns Hopkins University, M.A., 1981, Ph.D. (chemistry), 1985; University of St. Michael's College, M.Div., 1989; University of Toronto, S.T.L., 1993, Ph.D. (theology), 1995.
