SIDELIGHTS: Frédéric Badré told CA: "French literature no longer thrives; rather, it's in a coma. With the journal Ligne de Risque, my friends François Meyronnis and Yannick Haenel and I are trying to revive French literature. Although this might sound pretentious, it's not. It's a very serious endeavor. Jean Paulhan interests me because during the twentieth century he was the greatest editor of a French journal. Since everything is to be started up again, it's important that I not choose the wrong model."
