CAREER: Church Missionary Society, England, staff member, c. 1860s; ordained priest of Church of England in Canada, c. 1865; missionary priest in Northwest Territories, Canada, 1865-74; bishop of diocese of Athabasca, Northwest Territories (now Alberta, Canada), 1874-83, diocese of MacKenzie River, Northwest Territories (now Yukon Territory, Canada), 1883-91, and diocese of Selkirk, Yukon Territory, Canada, 1891-1905.
