Born July 3, 1944, in Racine, WI; daughter of Lester and Sophie (Block) Cohen; married Andrew Lugg (a philosopher), March, 1968. Education: University of Wisconsin, B.S., 1967; attended Slade School of Art, London, 1964-65, Ox-Bow Summer School of Painting, 1967, and University of Michigan; Eastern Michigan University, master's degree, 1969.

CAREER:
Photographer, with work exhibited at group shows throughout North America and Europe, including Museum of Modern Art, Victoria and Albert Museum and Serpentine Gallery, London, England, Corcoran Gallery of Art, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, National Museum of Women in the Arts, and New York Public Library. University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, faculty member; also taught at Eastern Michigan University, Art Institute of Chicago, and Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux; visiting artist at such institutions as Light Work, Syracuse University, Ecole Nationale de la Photographie, Arles, France, Wexner Center for the Arts, Museum voor Fotografie, Antwerp, Belgium, and University of Valencia.
