Poet. University of Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal, taught English for eight years; has taught at University College, Galway; has been a broadcaster on R.T.E. (Irish Radio Television); has lectured in both Europe and the U.S.; Galway Arts Centre, served as a director.

Aosdana, Poetry Council for Ireland.

AWARDS, HONORS:

Hennessey Award, 1990; residencies in Derry and Mayo; has received bursaries from the Irish Arts Council.
