Choreographer, director, and dancer. First independent choreography and solo concert, 1981; KARAS dance company, cofounder, Tokyo, Japan, 1985; first Paris concert, 1986; Dance Umbrella Festival, Boston, MA, first American concert, 1989; Ballet Frankfurt, Frankfurt, Germany, choreographer, 1994-95; Sabura Teshigawara Education Project, instructor, 1995—; Bayern National Ballet, choreographer, 1999; Netherlands Dance Theatre I, choreographer, 2000. Set designer; has appeared in television and films.
