Kristine M. Zentgraf is an academic and sociologist. She began her higher education studies at California State University, Long Beach, earning a bachelor of arts degree in 1987. Zentgraf then moved to the University of California, Los Angeles, where she pursued graduate studies in sociology. There she earned a master of arts degree in 1989 and a Ph.D. in 1998.

Zentgraf began working at her alma mater, California State University, Long Beach, in 1995 as a part-time instructor. By the time she finished her doctoral degree, she was made an assistant professor. She was later promoted to associate professor of sociology. Zentgraf served as the Haynes Faculty fellow at the university in 2007. She also worked as a mentor for both the McNair Scholars and Partners for Success programs. Since joining California State University, Long Beach, Zentgraf won the distinguished teaching award from the university in the 2004-05 academic year.

Zentgraf edited Contemporary Readings in Social Problems with Anna Leon-Guerrero. The book serves as a reader for sociology courses as an introduction to social problems. Each article, chosen from a range of sociology journals, has been refined, with complex points explained in greater depth to better accommodate an undergraduate readership.

In 2008 Zentgraf coauthored America Transformed: Globalization, Inequality, and Power with Gary Hytrek. The book looks into the issue of globalization, covering how it impacts social structures, equality, individual perception, and its own inevitability.
