1. Platform or open gallery built out from the naked of a wall, supported on brackets, consoles, corbels, or columns, or cantilevered. Normally constructed in front of windows or other apertures, it is unroofed, with a balustrade, parapet, or railing around the platform, is capable of bearing the weight of one or more persons, and is usually slightly below the floor-level within the building.

2. Projecting gallery with seats in an auditorium at a higher level than the stalls.
