Förderer, Walter-Maria
Förderer, Walter-Maria (1928– ). Swiss architect. His works include the Commercial High School, St Gallen (with Rolf Georg Otto (1924– ) and Hans Zwimpfer (1930– )— 1957–63), in which powerful forms of concrete are boldly expressed. His Church Centre at Hérémence (1963–71) has been admired for its late-flower-ing Expressionism, and was perhaps his most adventurous essay in freely treated volumes.
