Rogers, Ernesto Nathan (1909–69). Italian Rationalist architect. Founder, with Banfi, Belgiojoso, and Peressutti, of BBPR, whose Torre Velasca, Milan (1957–60) created much controversy at the time of its building because it did not conform to the accepted image of International Modernism. Rogers co-edited Domus (1946–7) and Casabella-continuità (1953–64). The latter became one of Europe's most influential architectural journals during his tenure.
