Stieglitz, Christian Ludwig (1756–1836). German architectural historian. He published many important books including Encyklopaedie der bürgerlichen Baukunst (Encylopaedia of Civil Architecture—1792–8), Zeichnungen aus der schönen Baukunst (Drawings of Fine Architecture—1804), Denkmäler der Baukunst der Mittelalters in Sachsen (Medieval Historic Buildings in Saxony—1836–52), Von altdeutscher Baukunst (Old German Architecture—1820), and many other works.
