Classical head and bust (often with torso) merging with the top of a down-ward-tapering pedestal resembling an inverted obelisk, sometimes with feet appearing under the base of the pedestal (which is proportioned like the lower part of a human figure). A terminal pedestal is like that of a term, but is separate, and a bust stands on it. Compare herm.
