Educational and Professional Achievement Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To award scholarship to local high school students applying for higher education support. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be senior students currently registered and attending classes in the Greater Austin Metropolitan Area, including students in public schools, home-schooled students and students attending private educational institutions; must be planning to further their education or professional development by enrolling in an accredited college or university, a community college, a professional, technical or vocational institute or school. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Funds Avail.: $1,500. To Apply: Applicants may download an application form on-line. Applicants must submit the following requirements: a transcript of grades with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0; complete scholarship application form; at least three, but not more than five personal evaluations; a 500-word personal essay titled “Building My Future”; a resume detailing activities at school, work, community service, sports, clubs, etc.; a brief (less than 200 words), creative autobiographical statement.
