Childhood Cancer Foundation Candle-lighters Canada Scholarships (All/Scholarship)
Purpose: To support young Canadians and assist them financially with their first year of post-secondary school education. Focus: Cancer. Qualif.: Applicants must be young Canadians who are childhood cancer survivors; must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants between the ages of 17-25 years. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.
Funds Avail.: $1,000. To Apply: Applicants must write a 300-500 word letter describing their future academic goals and highlighting their reasons fpr applying for this scholarship; must provide a copy of the letter of acceptance to a university, college or any post-secondary educational program and a copy of their most recent transcript, if not first year students; must provide a statement from a doctor/pediatrician and oncologist stating that they had some form of childhood cancer; must complete the application form.
