Associated General Contractors of Connecticut Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide constant resource of information services and educational seminars; to maintain strong working relationships with federal and state agencies; to utilize lobbying efforts focused on removing unnecessary regulatory inefficiencies and costly restrictions that hinder progress and stifle the economy. Focus: Construction. Qua-lif.: Applicants must be graduating high school seniors entering college as freshmen or entering a two-year technical school with a construction course of study with the intent of entering a four-year college upon completion of the technical school; must desire a career in construction; must pursue a B.S. degree in construction technology or construction civil engineering; must be U.S. citizen or documented resident of the United States. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic performance and interest in the field of construction.

Funds Avail.: $2,500. To Apply: Applicants must complete the “four-page” signed application; must submit one faculty evaluation form completed by high school faculty member with scholastic achievement and school history, two personal evaluation forms and official transcript of records. Deadline: March 30.

John Costello Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To assist students studying in the field of construction management including civil engineering at an accredited college in Connecticut. Focus: Construction. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating senior high school students with a GPA of 2.5. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic performance and financial need.

Funds Avail.: $2,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form.
