Their combined knowledge of theory and practice enhances the learning environment. All faculty members must complete an instructional design training program to become certified as an online instructor.

Admission

Online course work relies heavily on written communication and problem-solving skills. Students are eligible to enroll in Davenport Online undergraduate courses where assessment indicates their readiness for the first college-level writing courses (nondevelopmental) and the first college-level math course (nondevelopmental) required for their degree. In addition, students who do not have credit for English Composition must enroll in that course during their first online session. This may be done concurrently with another course.

Davenport University has offered specialized, career-focused business education for nearly 140 years. In addition, since early 1999, Davenport University has been accredited to offer master's, bachelor's, and associate degrees completely online—with no on-campus residency requirement. However, if students wish to use on-campus services or take a combination of online and on-campus courses, Davenport has more than twenty locations throughout Michigan and northern Indiana. Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA), Davenport's online courses are developed by its own faculty members, all of whom are certified to instruct in the online environment. This ensures that the online degree programs and courses are of consistently high quality and that Davenport University can accomplish its mission of preparing individuals and organizations to excel in the knowledge-driven environment of the twenty-first century.

To be admitted into a graduate program, students must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution or approved international institution with an overall grade point average of 2.75 or better (on a 4.0 scale) and GMAT scores. Students who hold a nonbusiness major at the undergraduate level or students not properly prepared in the areas of accounting, finance, management, marketing, and statistics are required to take precore (500-level) courses.

Tuition and Fees

Davenport University Online undergraduate tuition is $1125 per 3-credit course; tuition for the master's program is $1197 per course. A $60 registration fee is assessed each semester.

Financial Aid

Financial aid, such as grants, loans, and scholarships, is available to all qualified students. Students must first fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to begin the process. Many students receive tuition assistance through their employer's tuition reimbursement plan.
