Distance Learning Program

Distance learning, delivered through DeVry University's Online Center, integrates today's high-tech, Internet-based capabilities with DeVry's proven educational methodologies. The innovative "anytime, anywhere" educational delivery system extends the offering of DeVry programs to students who reside beyond the geographic reach of DeVry locations or whose schedules preclude their attending on site. The result is solid education enhanced by the latest in interactive information technology, which enables students to send messages and receive feedback from instructors as well as participate in various group and team activities with fellow online students. Delivery Media

Typical distance learning technologies include the undergraduate site (http://www.devry.edu/online) and graduate site (http://online.keller.edu), which are accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Programs of Study

DeVry University Online currently offers associate degree programs in accounting technology, health-information technology, and network systems administration. Bachelor degrees are available in business administration, computer information systems, game and simulation programming, information technology, network and communications management, and technical management. DeVry University's graduate-level programs include master's degrees in accounting and financial management, business administration, human resource management, information systems management, network and communications management, project management, and public administration. Graduate certificates are also available for students who wish to develop their expertise in these graduate-level programs without completing a degree or who wish to specialize in one of these areas within their degree program.

Undergraduate students must achieve a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and satisfactorily complete all curriculum requirements to graduate. Graduate students must achieve a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 as well as fulfill the graduation requirements for their specific programs.

Admission

For admission to undergraduate programs, specific requirements must be met regarding age, prior education, demonstrated proficiency in the basic and prerequisite skills needed for college-level work in the chosen field of study, and computer literacy. Each undergraduate applicant pays a $50 application fee.

For regular graduate admission, applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from a U.S. regionally accredited institution (international applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a U.S. baccalaureate degree). Applicants who meet baccalaureate degree requirements and whose undergraduate cumulative grade point average is 2.7 or higher are eligible for admission. Applicants with a cumulative GPA below 2.7 must demonstrate quantitative and verbal skills proficiency in one of several possible standardized tests.

Tuition and Fees

For undergraduate online students attending 14 to 19 credit hours, standard tuition is $6530 per semester. For online students attending 1 to 13 credit hours, tuition is $480 per credit hour. Online students attending more than 19 credit hours are charged the standard tuition rate plus the per-credit-hour rate for each additional credit hour. All new students pay a $50 deposit, which is credited toward the first semester's tuition.

For graduate online students, tuition is $1950 per course. After acceptance into the graduate school, new students pay a $100 deposit, which is credited toward the first term's tuition.

Financial Aid

Federal Stafford Student Loan money is available to graduate students through the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP). Undergraduate students who qualify can take advantage of the five major federal financial aid programs in which DeVry is eligible to participate. Undergraduate students may also qualify for state-funded programs and DeVry scholarships.
