Collegiate Environment:

Orientation program. Drama-theater group, choral group, marching band, student-run newspaper, radio station. Social organizations: 93 open to all; national fraternities, national sororities; 8% of eligible men and 6% of eligible women are members. Most popular organizations: International Student Association, cultural heritage groups, Eagle Ambassadors, business/honor fraternities, religious organizations. Community Environment:

Cheney is located 16 miles southwest of Spokane. The community is reached by major highways, rail, bus, and air lines with Spokane Airport approximately 11 miles away. The city has many churches and various civic, fraternal, and veteran's organizations. Local recreation includes hunting, fishing, skiing, and swimming on nearby lakes. Part-time employment is available.
