Equal Justice Works Fellowship Program (Graduate, Undergraduate/Fellowship)
Purpose: To address the shortage of attorneys working on behalf of traditionally under-served populations and causes in the United States and its territories while encouraging partnerships between law firms, corporations and public interest organizations to fund fellowships. Focus: Law. Qualif.: Applicants must be third year law students or graduates from an EJW law school who are committed to public interest. Criteria: Applications will be granted based on the evaluation of submitted materials by EJW staff and/or sponsors.
Funds Avail.: $37,500. To Apply: Applicants must provide a completed application, including a project proposal, a fellowship candidate to carry out the project, and a nonprofit public interest organization identified to host the project; Applicants must also submit a certification form and two hard copies of letters of recommendation; and must attend a scheduled interview if evaluated successfully. Deadline: September.
