Ken and Pat Ackerman Family Scholarship Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship

Purpose: To provide scholarship for Danville Area High School seniors who have been accepted or will attend an accredited 4-year college, full-time. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must have been a varsity wrestler and/or varsity football player and have the highest cumulative 4-year average in English. Purpose: To provide financial assistance for Montoursville Area High School seniors who are seeking higher education beyond graduation from high school (full-time) and who represent the top 10% GPA of graduating seniors. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants shall be approved for full-time admission to any accredited two or four-year college or university of their choice and be enrolled in a course of study of their choice which leads to a degree. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

B-Brave McMahon/Stratton Scholarship Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for graduates who have been in the foster care system or have legal adopted status and who have shown remarkable achievement despite the obstacles in their life. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Lycoming County High School or Clinton County High School that has believed in herself/himself; must have been accepted into a full-time continuing education program, preferably in Pennsylvania; must have exhibited good citizenship and have no known drug or alcohol record or juvenile offenses; have an unmet financial need; and must show evidence that they have a current minimum GPA of 2.8. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Gina L. Barnhart Memorial Scholarship Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for Milton Area High school seniors planning to pursue a major in elementary education. Focus: Education, Elementary. Qualif.: Candidates must be seniors in good standing and members of the cheerleading squad; must have been accepted by a qualified institution of higher education and plan to major in elementary education. Applicants who are planning to major in secondary education may be considered if there are no candidates that are planning to major in elementary education. Preference will be given to applicants with educational and/or career objectives focused on working with children or community service. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Purpose: To support the education of current and/or aspiring Lycoming County medical professionals who plan to dedicate their lives to helping others. Focus: Medicine; Nursing; Pharmacy; Allied health. Qualif.: Applicants must be accepted into a full-time or part-time medical or any other related specialty at an accredited institution of higher education. Applicants should be residents of Lycoming County. Criteria: Selection will be based on merit.

Warren E. “Whitey” Cole American Society of Highway Engineers Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship

Purpose: To provide scholarship awards for students enrolled in a Civil Engineering curriculum. Focus: Civil engineering. Qualif.: Applicants must be enrolled in a civil engineering, civil engineering technology or civil technology curriculum; have completed at least the sophomore year of a four-year curriculum or the freshman year of a two-year curriculum; be either enrolled at Pennsylvania State University, Bucknell University or Pennsylvania College of Technology or have residence in the counties of Bradford, Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Sullivan, Tioga or Union and attend another college. Purpose: To provide financial assistance for Canton Area High School seniors intending to pursue a course of study in elementary or secondary education. Focus: Education, Elementary; Education, Secondary. Qualif.: Applicants shall have a four-year overall minimum grade average of 85%. Criteria: Selection will be based on involvement in community service, extra-curricular activities, and financial need.

Qualif.: Candidates must plan to pursue a course of study in elementary education, preferably with an emphasis on education of special-needs children; must have exhibited good citizenship and community involvement; must be a leader with a sense of humor; must be grounded; must show tolerance to others; must be honest; must have integrity; and must make a difference in the school community. Purpose: To encourage educational pursuits by providing scholarship for Indian Valley High School seniors. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Program is open to Indian Valley High School seniors who have been accepted into a full-time undergraduate program at Lycoming College, Williamsport, PA. If there are no applicants from Indian Valley High School, then applicants may be chosen from Lewistown High School in Mifflin County, again, who have been accepted into a full-time undergraduate degree program at Lycoming College, Williamsport, PA. Applicants must have good citizenship and community involvement; be a leader with a sense of humor; be grounded; must show tolerance of others; be honest; have integrity; and make a difference in the school community. Unmet financial need is also considered. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Morton Harrison Scholarship Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for Lycoming County young adults who demonstrate the potential to succeed in pursuing higher education goals. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Candidates shall be young adults who, as a result of legal offenses as juveniles or young adults, have come to the attention of Lycoming County's Probation Department; must demonstrate a strong willingness to make positive changes in their lives and pursue educational and/or job training goals that will enable them to fulfill their human potential; and plan to attend a qualified institution of higher education, including but not limited to a 2- or 4-year college or university, a technical college, trade school, or other approved education or training program. Mollie Harter Memorial Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for Danville Area High School seniors intending to pursue higher education goals, preferably in the field of secondary education. Focus: Education, Secondary. Qualif.: Applicants must be planning to pursue a Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree from a qualified institution of higher education. Applicants' experience with community service and volunteering, as well as their interest in working with children and the potential to succeed in pursuing their goals may be considered. Preference will be given to applicants interested in a career in education, ideally secondary education, and then to other careers working with children. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Focus: International affairs and relations; Foreign languages. Qualif.: Applicant must be a high school senior within Lycoming county who will be attending an accredited institution of higher education and who plans to pursue major coursework in the area of international studies, including but not limited to international affairs, foreign languages, overseas exchange programs, multicultural studies, and related areas. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Qualif.: The applicants must exhibit good citizenship; must be honest; must have integrity; must have shown through job or volunteer history his/her ability to succeed; must be self-motivated; and must have strong ethics. Purpose: To provide financial assistance for Danville Area High School seniors who have been accepted into a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited institution of higher education, preferably in Pennsylvania. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must have attained a Boys or Girls letter in basketball (or football or baseball in the event basketball is discontinued at Danville High School). Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating high school seniors from any Lycoming County high school, public or private (secular or Christian), or as part of a qualified home-schooling arrangement within Lycoming County; must have been accepted to a qualified institution of higher education with the intention of pursuing further education or a career in music in a degree-granting program in music education or a music-related field of study; and must have a demonstrated interest in music, which may include participation in band, chorus, music theory and composition, and performance service at school, church, or community. Purpose: To provide academic support for students who are attending Pennsylvania College and have graduated from Bradford County, Clinton County, Lycoming County, Potter County, Sullivan County or Tioga County. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be enrolled at the Pennsylvania College of Technology; must be enrolled in an approved Tech prep high school program and subsequently enroll in a Certificate, Associate or Bachelor's Degree program at the Pennsylvania College of Technology.
