Description:
Independent, comprehensive, coed, affiliated with Church of Christ. Awards associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees. Founded 1971. Setting: 43-acre small town campus. Endowment: $3.5 million. Total enrollment: 123. Faculty: 21 (10 full-time, 11 part-time). Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 9:1. Full-time: 46 students, 11% women, 89% men. Part-time: 63 students, 13% women, 87% men. Students come from 18 states and territories, 9 other countries, 63% from out-of-state, 57% 25 or older, 14% transferred in. Core. Calendar: semesters. Academic remediation for entering students, accelerated degree program, independent study, distance learning, summer session for credit, part-time degree program, external degree program, adult/continuing education programs, internships, graduate courses open to undergrads.

Application fee: $25. Tuition: $7784 full-time, $278 per hour part-time. Mandatory fees: $480 full-time, $20 per hour part-time. College room only: $1500.
Collegiate Environment:
Most popular organizations: Missions Club, Preachers Club, Student Government Association, Christian Ladies Organization. Major annual events: Evangelism Seminar, Area-Wide Singing, Annual Theatre Production. Student services: personal-psychological counseling. 20 college housing spaces available; 18 were occupied in 2003-04. No special consideration for freshman housing applicants. Overton Memorial Library plus 1 other with 51,000 books, 675 microform titles, 309 serials, 12,342 audiovisual materials, and an OPAC. 12 computers available on campus for general student use. A campuswide network can be accessed. Staffed computer lab on campus.
